Featuring a carefully chosen, solid Canadian cedar top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, this Rodriguez FC model is a beauty to behold and play. The headstock is Brazilian rosewood, the neck is Honduran cedar reinforced with ebony, and the fingerboard is ebony. A Brazilian rosewood bridge and bone nut and saddles provide ringing tone and sustain. Handmade gold-plated tuners and silver-plated frets are installed to last a lifetime. The body binding and wood rosette are exquisite. Each Rodriguez Guitar is hand crafted and glued to create precise balances. From the invisible careful sanding, even inside the body, that ensures the finished instrument's purity of tone, to the beautifully unique rosette inlays around the soundhole and on the back of the neck, each guitar is a credit to its luthier and worthy of being handed down from one generation to another. The tone, resonance, and beauty of fine guitars are all dependent upon the wood from which they are made. The wood used in the construction of Rodriguez guitars is carefully chosen and aged to guarantee the highest quality. No wood is purchased before the tree has been cut down, and at least 2 years must elapse before the tree is turned into lumber. The wood has to be well cut from the log. The grain must be close and absolutely vertical. The shop is totally free from humidity. Each Rodriguez guitar features a multicolored wood rosette, as exquisite as the sounds that issue from it. Their intricacy and beauty signify the attention to detail that characterizes every Rodriguez guitar. For backs and sides, Rodriguez uses Brazilian Rosewood and Indian Rosewood (Jacaranda). Brazilian Rosewood has a beautiful color and design, making it ideal for an elegant concert classic guitar. For the top, Rodriguez has experimented with other Spruce woods from various parts of the world including North America, Canada, Alaska, Russia and Sweden, but the Spruce from Central Europe is unique. Red Western Cedar is obtained from Canad

I just took delivery of a 17 year old Takamine c132s, and feel like a kid in a candy store. I couldn't be happier with the sound, the high quality original finish, and the construction quality (like new -- can't believe it was built in 1993). I agree with one of the other reviewers, there is little difference between the sound of this guitar and those brands selling new for $3,000, and no difference in the construction quality.

I have owned this in the C series since 1978 and this guitar produces a melodic and acute sound that compares to instruments costing twice as much. After 30 years it is still the best guitar I have ever owned. Highly recommended!

You will fall in love with this classic. Easy to play with great, great sound. Mellow and bright. Sounds better than the normal main line guitars that cost three times more. Extreme projection as a stage guitar should have but soft and low when treated that way. I could buy a guitar for up to $4,000 but never find anything i like as well.

The Cordoba C10 is another all solid wood guitar in the Iberia Series. With all solid Indian Rosewood back and sides and a solid Canadian Cedar or European Spruce top, the C10 has a deep and full-bodied tone reminiscent of vintage Spanish guitars. It also features a lightweight Spanish cedar neck with an Ebony fingerboard, standard scale length and nut width dimensions 650/52, and a nitrocellulose natural finish. The adjustable truss rod in the neck is the only exception to traditional Spanish design. Other details include a multi-layer Rosewood/Maple headstock veneer and an inlaid Mother of Pearl & Ebony "Esteso" weaved rosette inspired by a Domingo Esteso guitar of the 1920s. A Rosewood binding bordered by a red cherry stained Mahogany soundboard purfling compliments the vintage rosette. A Cordoba Polyfoam case with backpack shoulder straps is included."
All solid wood construction
Solid Canadian Cedar top
Solid Indian Rosewood back and sides
Hand inlaid Mother of Pearl 'Esteso' Rosette and purfling

This is a really great guitar for the money, and definitely beats out the old Yamaha classical I used to have lying around. The solid woods were the biggest attractions for me in picking one up for myself, since my other old guitar is laminate I think so it sounds kinda stiff. But my C10 has a pretty and open sound and is very easy to play.
I saw the other review on here only giving this guitar "1 star", but it doesn't look like that person even tried out the C10 themselves (like they were sent a different guitar from Amazon?)- so i thought'd I'd put in my 2 cents since I can tell you i'm pretty pleased with mine!

I just bought a C10 about 2 weeks ago and am very satisfied with the guitar. For this price range this is the best guitar I have found yet. It has rich tone qualities. Lovely melodic trebles with and overall balance between the treble and the bass. I give this guitar 5 stars.

when i received my Cordoba GK Studio 8 months ago i remember thinking to myself,"i wonder what this would sound like in a solid wood version?"
well, that itch never got scratched and despite the GK Studio settling in really nicely over the past 3/4's of a year, i was still curious.
so to treat myself on the occasion of my 58th birthday i crossed my fingers and ordered a solid wood Cordoba C10, sight unseen, from that other retailer at the end of the alphabet and hoped for the best.
and boy i wasn't disappointed! not only is the guitar impeccably crafted, it came with the three tipped headstock (which i really wanted) and it arrived a day early from the other side of the country. believe me, if i hadn't been content with my first Cordoba i would never have ordered another.
this is my "dream" guitar, your requisite cedar topped, rosewood back and sided, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, bone nut and saddle with gold hardware student classical... Read more
